Start of a snapshot harvest with max bytes limit 5 mb This page describes how to start a small snapshot harvest with max byte limit
Start Program
Go to http://$GUIadminserver:$http-port/HarvestDefinition/
- where GUIadminserver and http-port are specified in the deploy configuration file under the application named dk.netarkivet.common.webinterface.GUIApplication
In the one-machine setup (deploy_example_one_machine.xml ) the link will be : http://localhost:8074
Make a new snapshot harvest definition with a name you can remember
Click 'Definitions' -> 'Snapshot Harvests' in the left menu
- Click 'Create new harvest definition' in the bottom of the main window
Fill in the 'Harvest name' and note the name for later use (from now referred as <snh2. name>)
- Set 'Max number of bytes per domain' to 5000000 (5mb)
Under the title 'Harvest only domains that were not completely harvest in a previous harvest:', click in checkbox on line with name of previous snapshot harvest <snh. name> (i.e. the 100000 bytes (100 kB) harvest)
- Click Save
Check harvest status for previous snapshot harvest is "Done"
Click 'Harvest status' -> 'All Jobs'
Check that column 'Status' for job previous snapshot harvest <snh. name> is "Done"
Activate and check new harvest
Click 'Definitions' -> 'Snapshot Harvests' in the left menu
Click 'Activate' in column 4 on the line with the <snh2. name>
Check scheduling of jobs
Click 'Harvest status' -> 'All Jobs'
- Click refresh until a new job appears (can take up to a minute)
Check the new job has harvest name <snh2. name>
