Hi all,

Our daily manager, Claus and I (in the role of QA), have looked at our
priority for bugs and feature requests. This has been updated in the
tracker as priority 4 bugs. The priorities are as follows:

Minor bugs to be solved as component bugs:
 * 1758 UrlCanonicalizerFactory falls back to default value silently
 * 1759 HarvestStatus-seeds.jsp needs update
 * 1770 WARNING: Non-fatal error in JMX call during crawl
 * 1771 INFO: Job ID: 3, Harvest ID: 3, http://kb-test-har-002.kb.dk:8490null
 * 1733 Default security policies do not allow reading system properties, making batch jobs difficult to write
 * 1745 Deploy should fail if the environment name is invalid
 * 1772 Input field sizes requested larger

Disaster recovery help
 * 749  Job-IDs are not unique after restore from DB

Annoyances in using the monitoring section:
 * 823  No index = Internal server error
 * 1756 JMX status page does not update when a new application is started on previously used JMX port
 * 1757 Need a way to remove an application from lists of monitored applications

Help for deployment
 * 1751 Create restart script for windows services

Help for broad harvesting
 * 1773 Manually stopped jobs are treated as failed rather than complete


Furthermore, the following need to be considered high priority, and must be implemented for the _next_ stable release (spring 2010):

Better support for external batch jobs:
 * 864 False robot.txt results in too many embeds being fetched
 * 1727 Poor error message in RunBatch
 * 1736 Monitoring batchjobs
 * 1764 Poor information on failed batch job

Deployment and automatic handling of wayback
 * 1726 Upgrade to wayback 1.4.2
 * 1753 Tool for Creating and Managing CDX Indexes for Whole Respository
 * 1754 Integration of Wayback and Deploy

Better QA
 * 623 We need to normalize URLs when browsing data

Possibility to restart GUI
 * 1774 Stop using the JMS queues for queuing snapshot harvests
